Location: opposite the Esso Garage, Greenodd, 100 metres from the A590.
Current subscription: Family £70.00; Adult £40.00; Student £12.00. All croquet equipment is provided, and coaching will be available for those new to croquet. Members have a key to the premises and may play at any time. The season runs from 1 April to October.
The club enters the North West Federation Handicap and Advanced Croquet Leagues; runs open tournaments; hosts the English Croquet Association v Scottish Croquet Association fi xture in alternate (even-numbered) years; and runs several in-club competitions.
We also have an annual match with the Croquet North Federation, the Bob Vaughan Memorial Trophy, which this year will take place at Greenodd in September.
Members range from beginners and casual players to county standard.
The club has received grant funding in recent years from Cumbria CC through Ulverston Neighbourhood Forum, the Croquet Association, and Awards for All, for clubhouse refurbishment, installation of mains water and a toilet, and for mowing equipment and lawn improvements. This year the Croquet Association has given the club an Apps Heley Award; these Awards are given every two years to reward clubs that have made good progress and development.
